Pulling a 2001 PT Cruiser all four wheel on the ground?

I'd like a PT Cruiser but need a car to pull with a Blue Ox hitch, all four wheels on the ground.  Couple people have told us we can, others say no, only straight shift can be pulled all four on the ground. Does anyone know ?

You will fry the transmission if its automatic,flat towing tow dolly is recommended, see owners manual, 25 miles @25mi per hr
