interchangeable parts

i have a 2003 pt cruiser and need a shock tower bracket (also called
suspension strut mount bracket/brace) and, so far, only online auto part stores
have it (expensive), however, i found this guy who has a 2001 pt cruiser and he
is selling the parts.....he is going to check to see if the part is in the car....is it
compatible with my car?
