Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 PT Cruiser, and it just died... It won't do anything now. I don't think it's the
timing belt, but I don't know. Seems electrical...  I just bought the battery 4 months ago &
even changed out the starter relay fuse.
Somebody help!!!

How is the starter? Even if the battery is new it's possible that it is defective. Suspect everything assume nothing.

We tapped on the starter & nothing happened. I will have to take the battery in & get it checked!

Pull the starter and have it checked at the same time.

Had the same thing with an 05, not sure which fuse but it was under the hood. Walmart sells a kit with fuses and a fuse checker, I have one now!

It was a fuse under the hood, not sure which one. I thought I had checked them all but some are not visual checks. Have to have a tester. I saw above another person had a bad fuse as well. All I know is that it was one of the ones under the hood back close to the firewall driver's side.

Sorry GuruTR 791, I did change the switch in the steering column before we finally figured out it was the fuse.
