Asked by RD Mar 21, 2021 at 07:16 PM about the 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 pt cruiser and I just got done
replacing intake gaskets and spark plugs. It drove
just fine for hours and then started to get warm
and then made a small TICK TICK TICK TICK and
then just shutoff on me and now it wont start but it
turns over and I have all my bells and whistles.

Maybe the timing belt failed, it does run the water pump, and you said the engine got warm. Have it towed to a garage for a proper diagnosis.
