Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Firestone said according to the codes, the Head Gaskets is Blown -  It has 166,100 miles, and I just bought it a month ago.  Can it be repaired or replaced and what is the estimated cost to do so.  I'm a retired female that drives it about 25 miles per week.

The average cost for a Chrysler PT Cruiser head gasket replacement is between $1091 and $1316. Labor costs are estimated between $642 and $866 while parts are priced between $449 and $450. Parts I found for this on Autozone are not that expensive its the labor that costs. I would check around for a mobile mechanic in your area instead of an auto service shop. Shops are generally more expensive than an individual. I google searched chrysler pt cruiser head gasket: https://www.autozone.com/gaskets/head-gasket/chrysler/pt-cruiser Also check out youtube.com to see a video about replacement its how i found out about my pt cruiser transmission range sensor parts and how to fix it.
