i had a similar problem with my car. Have the brake-light switch under the dash by the brake pedal checked. They do fail to disengage and all of your brake lights will stay on after you shut the car off. Sorry, desk lights I have no clue...check your fuses too. Good luck

I doubt it is the ECU. Most likely something like a door switch or brake light switch or possibly a bad ignition switch.

I have for sale my car C300 Mercedes Benz 2009 116000 thousand miles good condition clean inside and out, clean title, there is nothing wrong with it, you can take a test drive.

I'm not a mechanic but I had a similar problem with my 2006 Cruiser. All my dash lights were coming on when I was driving. They'd come on and then off...over and over. I had the module behind the ignition module on the steering column replaced. Part at Auto Zone ran $65.00. The lights stopped coming on! Issue solved.
