According to the man who checked my Cruiser, my 4th cylinder is bad and he suggests a tune up asap. How much do you think this will cost? Thanks!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check engine light came on and Pepboys did a quick check on it.  The 4th cylinder has a
problem.  He made me feel I should get it done asap since if one cylinder goes another is
close to follow.  How much do you think it will cost?  I will not go to a dealership.  Thanks!

He was not a full time mechanic. I did end up taking it to my mechanic. He fixed the cylinder. The light is gone, but the car is still not running smoothly. I will mention it to my mechanic. The car is 10 years old. I will expect things to break down. At least I can drive it today! Thanks for your post!
