WHAT CAUSES A 2005 PT CRUISER TO JUMP TIME

have a 2005 pt cruiser that will not start, recent work was a timing belt, water pump and air compressor done just before I purchased the car, after I purchased it just shut off one day and changed the fuel pump.....ran great for 2 mos, then shut down on my mom again, no noise just quit. being told it has possibly jumped time, checked belt it is not broke. where to go from here??

do you have a code reader? I had the same stall out issue with my 04 & it was the cam shaft sensor. I watched a few videos and So I changed the cam and crank shaft sensors. Took less than an hour. Now I have new issues and it wont start so I think its the fuel pump/filter or timing belt. Good luck.

Thank you, I have the timing belt cover off on top now to get it off the bottom and make sure all lines up then I am going to buy the sensors thank you for your help.
