What gasket would cause coolant to leak and a heater to stop?

Asked by Kimmy Jan 08, 2021 at 05:56 PM about the 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 02 Caravan and a week ago it
started leaking coolant and my heater
stopped working. I took it to a
mechanic and he said it was the
gasket above the freezer plug. What I
would like to know is what gasket it is
and if anyone would know how much
to replace it

The mechanic finally told me that it was a gasket in the oil housing unit and my freezer plug had a hole in it and is costing me 344 to fix it
