oil light comes on with full level intermittently

When the oil light comes on it can mean the oil filter has failed and gone into bypass- turning the vehicle off will clear this but the filter will still be in bypass. Change the filter and this should fix the problem. I had this happen on my Van 3 times using a Fram filter and this how I fixed it. Give it a try.
