Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was traveling home last night.  As I got out on the highway, the seatbelt warning light
came on.  I checked everyone's seatbelts to make sure they were all fastened properly.
They were.  This continued the 24 miles to home.  What could be the problem and how
would I go about fixing this problem?

Have you driven it today, and if so did the same thing happen?

No, I have not driven it today. I did drive about an hour or so after I got home last night. I drove it across town and it did not come on.

In that case, there is no need to be concerned unless it happens repeatedly. Just a loose, not quite right click in the belt receptor.

same problem. check under your seat, their is a wiring harness, you will fine a flexiable protecting hose around a black wire, it is probley pinched through to hose and into the wire, creating a short. I had this problem, and repaired it with the same gauge wire connecting it all back together with wire connectors, No Light No Chime again..
