I have a 91 ford bronco that takes forever to shift into rev and drive when started

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So when we start the bronco in the morning it starts up just fine, but then it
takes nearly a minute before it'll shift into reverse, and even longer to shift into
drive. like, you put it in reverse, back out of the driveway, shift into drive, and
then sit for 45-90 seconds before it actually shifts into drive and you can drive
away.

May be just a problem with the shift solenoids, or there has to be a lot of miles on it and it is on its last legs. Best go to a trany shop to have it diagnosed.
