1999 Dodge Ram Van 1500

Asked by Samulveny May 14, 2020 at 05:08 PM about the 1999 Dodge RAM Van 1500 Cargo RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Ram van that will start but won’t stay
running once I take my foot off the gas. Check
engine light goes off and on but with no noticeable
change while driving. Battery got completely
drained when kids left one of the doors open for 3
days. Checked all hoses I could see. Should we try
a new battery before anything else... i just bought
this thing for camping... I’ll be bummed if I don’t at
least one season out of it!

You orbs my figures it out by now but after it happened to me when the van lights were left in and I had to jump the van , I had to do research. Turn the key on and put your pedal to the floor for like thirty seconds. Then start it. Worked.
