Engine transmission swap

Asked by John Jul 06, 2021 at 10:43 PM about the 1990 GMC Sierra 1500 C1500 Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1990 GMC Sierra and 1996 Chevy
Silverado. And I take the motor from the gmc
and put it in the Chevy even though the years
are so far apart?
As well as the transmission

I would think that's doable , keep the gmc around till you get the motor in and it's up and running , all electronics should go with the gmc motor .
