All three were in use then, you'll have to decode numbers stamped on a boss on the tranny casing. Some sites will help you visually ID a tranny by the pan, if you don't feel like crawling under the truck far enough to read the stamped number.

I have a 1989 350 5.7 TbI and I have a 96 GMC 1500 with a 305 5.0L Vortec with over 250,000 miles can I use the the heads from the Votec 305 5.0L on the 350 5.7L TBI?
