Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey I got a 1995 sierra 5.7l v8 z71 with 450,000k and well this problem first started after i drove for about
25minutes or + then parked for 5 minutes and restarted my engine almost immediately after started its like it
stalls. The battery volts go down oil pressure goes down and it vibrates and shuts off. happened alot during the
summer and then stopped for a month now even sometimes when im driving alot even in a parking lot the
same thing happens im accelerating and then its like it looses power and battery volts go down as well as the
oil pressure and dies but i can start it right away. and sometimes when its doing this if i accelerate alot harder it
won't die. For winter i need tires rear brakes and my power steering pump is leaking so before i start putting
money into this i need to fix this issue. Any thought or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated.

u can check the battery by hooking up a charger to it and running it whole the charger is on, by the sounds of the issue it could be a little more severe theo, could be in need of a tune up or it could even be a bad sensor causing ur sputtering issue

Benleuser . Check fuel pump pressure. If it starts spuddering and spitting . It may not be holding pressure. If it do start acting up while driving along, put it in neutral or stop for a minute give it some time to rebuild pressure. And try continuing in yiur way

Benleuser...i have the same truck, bout the same miles & bout the same issue! But I changed my fuel pump & now it looses prime & I think it looses pressure. But I also changed out my fuel injection wiring harness & one of them wasn't snapping in all the way & popping back up so only was running on 1 barrel instead of 2. Fixed that but it still does the sputter thing occasionally. It has a good battery & my check engine light is not coming on. I think my fuel filter needs changed for one thing...have you checked your fuel filter? And check your distributor cap & rotor bc they are notorious in that truck to misfire... BlueBeastMomma
