So i just replaced my altenator and belt on my 1997 GMC K 1500 and now my lights dim and flicker. what's the problem?

Is the belt tensioner holding the new belt tight? Is the belt threaded correctly?

b_real, Assuming you have since fixed the flickering lights problem "about a year ago"....Would you mind sharing what corrected that issue? Thanks in adcance!
