Question type: Maintenance & Repair

doyou need the oxygen sensors to keep the truck running when I change out the muffler? or can I remove them and the catalytic muffler?

1 Answer

Yes you need the oxygen sensors and catalytic converter. You can install what is called a cat-back system where everything behind the converter is replaced and if you want you can also install a high flow catalytic converter. Without the O2 sensors your engine will not get the correct air/fuel mixture.
