door latches were changed. battery dies over night

Could be the age of the battery and having the door open to change the latches took the last leg out from under it. Could be a parasitic load drawing from the battery and killing it over night, you will have to do an amp draw test to see if there is a parasitic load drawing power while it's sitting with the key off.

It is also called a parasitic load test, you should be able to Google it and find a how to on it.
