Gas mileage/performance chip for 99 Sierra classic w/5.7

So, I've been searching the Internet for a chip to
help my 99 Sierra get better gas mileage and
haven't really found anything other than chips that
are obviously a scam or crap from eBay. My
question is, does anyone know of a programmable
chip that I can install for a canned tune, or am I just
going to have to suck it up and get it tuned? I would
like to avoid shelling out the $600 for a professional
tune. Do they even make a canned tune setup? I
already have a true dual magnaflow exhaust and
that helps but I live in Tucson and only get about 10
MPG so that sucks, but if I could get about 3-4
better mpg I'd be happy. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks and CHEERS!

Depending on your skill set you could do all the things you are asking.I don't recommend "CHIPS" one size tunes nothing! modification, but what ever. If you look there are lots of flash tools available to tune your PCM. If your serious about engine management start learning, Goggle Mega Squirt. That massive airplane graveyard still in Tucson?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes the boneyard is still here haha. I'll definitely look into the mega squirt program. How does it work? Is it like a trial and error thing or is there some sort of tutorial?
