if fuel and fire are getting to the combustion chamber, the engine runs- so one of these things is NOT happening, and it sounds like fuel-

I HAVE FUEL IN LINES TO TROTTLE BODY INJECTOR ASSEMBLY FULL FUEL GOT FIRE AT PLUGS AS I SAID REPLACED INTAKE BUT ALL WENT BACK TOGETHER NO PROBLEM DROVE FOR THREE DAYS PARKED FOR A FEW WENT START WOULD NOT RUN BUT CRANKED.I DISASSEMBLED INJECTOR BODY CLEANED REPLACED ALL O-RINGS TRUCK RAN GREAT BUT HAD TO FEED FUEL IN TROTTLE BODY TO GET RUNNING AFTERWARDS FIRE RUN EVERYTIME WHY I STUMPED THINKING MAYBE RUST,DIRT GOT DISLODGED AND CAUSING PROBLEM
look down in the throttle body while someone cranks it- you should be able to see fuel going into it- if it runs when you dump gas in it, that should tell you something- but why did you replace the manifold? I can't tell what is going on, especially after all that work has been done- but my best guess would be the fuel pump or relay- check to see if you have power going there-
And if your business depends on this unreliable truck, it is time to get something better-
I put in a new fuel pump on a 1997 GMC Sienna 1500. I can hear the fuel pump clicking on but it want fire when i try to crank it.
i have a 98 gmc sierra 1500 with the 5.7 vortec, i recently replaced head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets. ive checked the distributor cap and rotor all wires and plugs no corrosion in sight. truck will turn over but will not start i have fuell to the plugs they all have fire but nothing happens? anybody have any sudgestions
I am have the exact same issue. I did the intake manifold gasket, valve covers, new cap and rotor, plugs and wires, egr, etc. After completion, cranks but no start. Have proper fuel pressure and good spark. Timing was checked and was good. Makes no sense. Tore back down 2 more times and reinstalled. Still not seeing anything wrong. I have done 4 others intakes In the past 3 months and no issues once completed. Any ideas would be nice.

Having same issue, fuel pressure 52psi and have spark at all plugs/wire. My brother was driving, said it starting running bad. He pulled over and that’s the last it ran. I thought it was the fuel pump, replaced that. Replaced plugs and wires NOTHING!!
My 94 Chevy 1500,, I took steering column apart to tighten the tilt up where it was sloppy,, now my truck turns over it's getting fuel into the carb and it's getting fire.. but it won't start,, turns over okay just no start up,, any clue what's up with this?
I'm having the same problem with my 97 gmc 5.0 vortex . I've got the fuel and spark and will run when I put gas in manually but then nothing what the check . maybe I hooked the fuel li rd up wrong from the pump ...
Check the fuses to the fuel injectors...
