4l60 e swap

I have a 2000 serria 4x4, 5.3 liter with a 4l60e.
I found a used 4l60 e at a good price but it has a shallower
oil pan, different front shaft that inputs into torque
converter and a different bellhousing I'm wondering if I
swap my bellhousing will this transmission work in my
truck not sure what the interchangeably is on these. There
is no tag on either one to get a model # to cross reference.
I've read some models are not interchangeable how can I
tell.

Check with a transmission shop, they may know. From what you explained I would have to say no. Especially if the transmission is 1995 and later.
