2002 GMC Sierra SLE V8 5.3

did the mech. actually test anything ? Sounds like guess work and thats not how you go about it . Is power getting to the solenoid on the starter when you turn key to start ? Is power getting to the safety switch ? I see people on here throwing money at problems without accomplishing anything , I go to qa "mechanic" as a last resort , if I didn't need inspections I don't think I'd ever go to a mechanic.

Yeah sounds about right all he's doing is playing the guessing all he's says is "well maybe it's this and if that don't work we'll move on to the next step," but it's costing me an arm & a leg, and no i was watching everything he did all he did was check fuses & relays, replaced the neutral safety switch, but i could of done that myself instead of paying this dude...... What would you recommend for me to do i would greatly appreciate it.

well when I hear "security system " or "anti theft" all I think is trouble , newer cars have way too much hyper electronics , more than they could ever need . Why is that ? I don't know you could say because people keep buying them , or the engineers are jerks or maybe it's the russians , if it is some kind of security issue you will need a technician not what you already have . Me personally I'm ready to live in a shack on a mountain .
