Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 with a 5.3 and it
won't start due to no spark.  Have replaced crank
sensor and still no spark.  Any suggestions?

More than likely the coil is bad. You can have it tested at an auto parts store. Also a bad distributor cap and rotor, or bad coil wire.

No spark from any of them? The coils may not be getting any power.

The coils have good ground and 12v going to them. Kind of wondering if 12v signal from ecm triggers them? And if so it's seeming more and more like a tow bill and expensive dealer service for me.

Check out the fuses first, I think there is a fuse for the ecm.

I have the same issues on my 2006 GMC Sierra 5.3. New crank sensor and still no fire
