what's the towing capacity for a 96 GMC Sierra 2500 Extended cab long bed with a 6.5L Diesel?

Question type: General

Just need to know the towing capacity.  On your trim selection, I don't know what the difference is between "SB" or "LB".

The best place to find that is in the owners manual. SB=short bed/box LB=long bed/box. If you don't have a manual check with a dealer on the capacities.

it would be around 10000 lbs. with trailer brake- the duramax of that same model would be rated to tow 17000 lbs. with trailer brake- what a difference a few years makes!
