Hello, I drive a 2004 Audi a6 2.7l
I was wondering if my car would have a timing belt
or timing chain?

What you should ask is the maintenance schedule for the part and if it's an interference motor that will be ruined if the chain/belt breaks .

You have a timing belt and it's an interference motor. The most recent manufacturer service schedule is to replace the timing belt every 75,000 miles.
