No you shouldn't have to change the flywheel. Are you sure it's a 1999 6.0 liter and not a 5.7 liter? Or the starter you got is for the 5.7 and not a 6.0?

Hi Trans, Thanks for helping me out, ur guess is rite the one i had it wasn't for 99 (6.0). i don't knw why but i knew that when i toke it off for cure it wasn't matching with the original at the store. now i'm thinking may be moter on my truck has been change. Is ther any other info on engine it self to find out wht moter is it? any ways the stater i have now its for 2000 5.7 coz bracket match's with old one. plz advice or if its posible call thanks

Well they only offered 2 engines the 6.0 in the new silverado or the 5.7 in the classic silverado. Your starter could have been boxed wrong? That happens more times than I care for. Or they could have just simply gave you the wrong one.

Hi Transe, i got it done brother thanks for your help. what happen was stater i had it was wrong when the guy put it in him self was having hard time. anyways i change 2 already both didn't fit. so 3rd time i bought original which made for my truck. it did fit but i had to put shims. thanks Again Regards Harry
