Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Audi A8l. When the car first starts up and is going through the system checks, the service light comes on. The car service is up to date in all area's but the mechanic didn't know how to clear it out. Someone please help so I could clear the service light.

Thank you
BJ

The service light can only be reset by interface. You'll need software and a cable to do it. Ross-tech sells their cables for about $250 and the software is free. Audis have VAG-COM, so a regular programmer won't reset the service light. With the software, you can actually change your preferred service intervals too (I've got mine set at 4k mi).
