Which sensor allows the car to start? Are there more than one sensor that makes the car start?

Car won't start when it's too hot. The battery
is fine at 100%.

Yes you have crank sensor,and cam sensor.There are a lot more sensor,s that have to be right for your car to run,but the first two are main sensor,s.

Surprisingly you should also check your Key. There is a sensor in the key that wears out over time and it gets worse in the heat.
