When I jack up my car should I be able to move tire forward and backwards?

When I jack up driver side front I noticed that I can move
tire sightly towards and backwards I have a 2003 Audi a4
Cabriolet 1.8 turbo. FYI I have replaced  driver's side CV
axle twice in last month and a half. Haven't driven it since I
replaced CV axle wondering if its  safe to drive

It shouldn't have that much play in it , it shouldn't move at all , this would be felt when driving , have it fixed .

Wheel bearing is crispy or suspension components are worn beyond tolerance. Use large channel locks and squeeze link ball joints and see if they compress if so replace upper and lower links from car to hub. They can fall out over time and damage your vehicle or injure you or others.

have you checked your lower arm bushings when they are bad the wheel would move back and forth .if that is not the problem you could check the wheel bearing
