Should I buy this car

I am looking to purchase a 1998 Audi quatro
a4 2.8. I am nervous because I have heard
the stories and am fearful for cost of
repairs. The car is in mint condition on the
inside and a small shallow sent on the rear
passenger door. I am eager to jump on in
this deal as the car has had only two owners
and well taken care of with only 82000
miles. $ 4000 is what they want and after
looking at what is available elsewhere I have
found nothing close to comparable.
Everything I have looked at has double the
miles and not in great shape in one way or
another.  I really want this car it's just dear
fear of major problems and cost to repair as
I am a single parent and though I make a
decent income a major repair could set is
behind pretty bad
