2003 GMC SIERRA 2500 passenger windows not working

Asked by GuruD5G1RB Feb 27, 2024 at 12:41 PM about the 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD Crew Cab SB HD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The passenger side windows stopped working. Rear
passenger window is part way down. Checked all
fuses and seem good unless I missed one. The 25
amp circuit breaker located under the dash gets hot. I
replaced the distribution block as the original one
showed burn marks under the 25 amp circuit breaker
when I unplug the connector with three orange
wires on the left side of distribution block the 25 amp
dies not get hot. Any suggedtions

You have left and right side circuit breakers. Swap left for right and see if it works.

Good idea on the breaker swap but it still sounds like you have a short or overload in the circuit also, could be a window motor, window master switch or even cross circuited wiring in one of the body to door tunnels.
