Car won't start

I need help!! My Audi A4 2003 1.8T Quattro won't turn on.
When I try and turn it on it makes a clicking noise I know
it's not the battery but I'm not sure what it could be.
There's sometimes where it does turn on and drives just
fine but if I turn It off it won't turn on. Today I tried turning
it on and it didn't so I tried it again it started but it reved
on its own and I switch gear to try and run it and it shut
off. Could it be the starter?? PLEASE HELP THANK YOU!!

Starter solenoid switch, if they have one. Most cars do.
