02-16-2015 Will not start in the cold... 2003 Audi A6 Quattro

2003 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro : 02-16-2015 It was very cold and will not start. all electric
works, but the car will make no attempt to start. wont even turn over, turned the key
multiple times, put in neutral rolled it, put it in Park, nothing, then after the 15th time
of turning the key, vroom starts right up like nothing was wrong. First time it happened
the vehicle sat for a couple days and then went to move it and said ill try and start it
up one more time and boom(fired right up). No check engine light.  Tried to start it
today the same thing. Also had the oil changed, checked all battery and starter
connections and my mechanic ran diagnostics on it and nothing ps New Battery..
Basically serviced and checked vehicle over.
2nd occurance same issue wont start, and is cold. Car was running beautiful since
had all that work done. did it again today...  If anyone could please give me some
insight on my stating issue that would be great. ....thank-you verymuch

Any luck? we have had this issue for 3 years now and it is random even will turn over after the 3rd time if I do it slow it will catch and I have to listen closely tohear it catching no one can help because they need it to "do it" in their presence but no shop will leave it outside for days to hope it happens I was at a shop last year and they said a guy across the street with our same model 2003 A6 quarto 4.2 and they were never able to diagnose it and he even had it in to audi with no avail so he traded it in but this was the best 6000 I've spent in my life and it's a fantastic work car minus the dozen times a season this happens
