why is my esp light on and my accelerator is revving

Esp light on and constant revving without touching the gas

This would indicate you are having an issue. Have the car scanned im willing to bet the cars throtal body is the issue. Try disconnecting the plug from the throtal body for a few minutes and then plug it back in see if it helps. My guess is the throtle body computer is gone out of wack and you may need a new one if its doing this.
