i have a metalic crunch sound coming when reversing out of drive also when turning left / right

i have only just bought this 52 plate tt quatro it is all good apart from this annoying crunch
sound it went back to the dealer who had it for 2 weeks  when i went to pick it up he, told
me he had fixed it he replaced the front sub frame  and the steering rack and a shock
mount  however the noise is still there any idea he has since said he,s put enough into it
???

yep sounds like a cv join to me. This is also a older car so it could be the dif bearings in the trany. best way to find out is grab an axel and push it back and forth up and down if the main holding cup shifts or moves (the place mounted into the trany) it most liekly needs a couple bearings. also sure sign is that area will be covered in what will look like oil but is realy trany fluid. Im betting its most likely a bad cv tho.
