Audi A6 2001 model. What options other than salvage

Asked by Nupurjain Sep 06, 2015 at 10:56 PM about the 2001 Audi A6 2.7T quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Hello.

I bought this Audi A6 2001 model about 3 years back, and it did serve me
well. However, Feb this year I bought another car an since then, this Audi
was unused. I tried selling it earlier, but didn't get the money I expected for
it. Now, the car has a few problems, the brake rotors aren't smooth
anymore, there is a minor leak in the engine, the battery is dead, also, a
few random mini things. The cost of getting the car back to a good shape
appears to be around 1000 bucks, and the KBB value of this car is around
2200. I really don't think it is worth putting in the money as I will not be
driving the car, and what if I am not able to sell it for even 1500 after
spending all the money. Salvage people are paying around 125 for this car,
that I dont wanna do. Please suggest what I should do.

omg all those A6s should be scrapped- sell it for $1000 or whatever you can get, and understand that you are passing along a living/dying curse-
