Tires sizes...

Question type: Car Customization
Hello - I need to replace my tires in the near future... What is the largest size you can go to without having it rub? And what mods can be made without going radical to go even bigger? I'd love to go a size or two over stock to give the truck a more stable ride, but need some help.
Thanks!
Steve

What did you find out? I was asking myself the same thing. Maybe 285/70 R16 and tighten the front torsion forks to raise the front a bit.
doesnt anyone know...i need to find out the same answer .
Search on the web for a tire size comparitor it will give the size by inches compared to the P metric size but becareful some brands a of tires are different
I have 265/70 R16 on my 2001 Yukon XL and had 265/75 16R on my 99 Suburban
What Size tires go on a 2011 Yukon Denali Xl
Will 20’ tires fit a 2011 Yukon Denali XL
I put the 285/70r17 on my 2004 gmc yukon xl slt and they rubbed. If you go this tire you will need to get a lift kit or trim your bumper and weel well. I went back to the stock 265/70r17 because I didnt want to damage my truck.
Can I put 255/75/r16 on 03 Denali
I have 265/70/17s AT on my 01, buddy of mine has 20s with low pros and rubs slightly
My 2003 came with 24" rims and very low profile 24" tires. They do rub on hairpin curves if I am not paying attention. I don't think the current setup will do to well on 3 miles of dirt/gravel roads and a creek when the rains come. A friend gave me a set of 16" rims and now pricing P275/70/16 and like everything else has gone way the heck up. Well beyond 'normal' inflation into profiteering amounts. We the people as always get the burden of prices up, income stable...or put easily; SSDD.
