it usually takes two attempts to crank my truck but yesterday when i started it the clock

Probably the battery. It can have enough power to run the headlights, radio ect. but not enough power to crank the engine. Try jumping it with cables and another vehicle or with a jumper pack. If it starts right up you know its not the starter. If it continues to just make the clicking sound its going to be the starter.
thanks i didnt think of that at all
i'll try in the morning

Your battery is not talking to your starter.........electrical.forget the clock radio ect means nothing.takes a ton to turn thst motor
I got a 2005 GMC Dilaudid XL when I turn the key the lights to come on it just won't say nothing I won't turn over or just turn the key won't say nothing
