2001 gmc yukon wont start.

The battery is good and clean. When I try to start it acts like theres no battery
power no lights on the dash. I turn the key to the off position it intermittently dings.
Then I turn the key to the start position I get dash lights and power but turn to start
it clicks but wont do anything. Like the batterys dead. It will jump start and stay
running but as soon as I turn off the ignition and remove the jumper cables it wont
do anything no power again. With everything off on key in the ignition there is a
clicking noise from under the dash from a box that has fuses in it and two wire
harnesses.

It could also be the starter, or even just the solenoid. I'd have those checked as well.

I have the same problem. Not the starter or alternator in my case. They are both new and good to go. Thought it might be the relay,but no luck. Did you get your problem solved. If so, what did you do? Thanks

So when you jump it you are by passing the problem.electrical to say the least.coil/condencer/cheap items but a good place to start.if does not work you have two new parts in your truck.this is a good thing
