Heat is warm not hot and temp gauge only reaches middle in summer. What's the problem?

I got the radiator flushed and refilled. No fluids are leaking. Still not hot.

Did you change the thermostat ? If the thermostat is old it might not be closing all the way, therefore the engine does not get "hot" before coolant is allowed to flow into the radiator to start the cooling cycle.
