I have a 2002 santana few and the engine won't
shut off when i turn off the key- it is dieseling. I
have had it to the mechanic several times and he
can't figure it out. We have replaced the pcv valve,
cleaned the throttle body and  replaced the idle
control valve. Still happening.  There is a lot of
carbon in the air intake tube that connects to the
throttle body. Runs rich and idles high.

The check engine light is not on. The IAC is the Air/ Idle control valve isn't it? That has been replaced. Could it be a half open injector leaking fuel?

Point of info for you on the IAC, I have a 2001 and went thru 4 brand new IAC's before I found one that is properly made and works. If you look into the round holes on the mounting side you can see the shutters that open and close to adjust the air flow going into teh TB, many of these are low quality and the shutters do not operate properly causing a bad air flow. I do agree w tennisshoes that it is probably an injector problem tho.
