What is the firing order and which cylinder is the number 1 cylinder on a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L?

Do a compression check. Any showing 0 psi will have bent valves.
Yes that is an interference engine. Probably bent a few.
Another question how to get to the plugs under the intake?
Must remove the upper intake.
Might want to take some pictures before you start and as you go to help remember how it goes back together. I use my iPad for the pictures when I have to. Or a good cell phone with big screen. Just when upper intake is remove place a clean rag over the lower intake to keep trash out.

Just watched it. It will show you all you need to get them out. The only thing is I would have used a bungy cord or zip ties to hold the upper intake out of the way and please place a rag over the lower intake. He did not and that can be costly if something falls in there. Also he stated possibly using some sealant on the gasket of the intake. Don't do that. Just wipe the mating surfaces off and carefully wipe the old gasket off and re install. That's what I do and have never had an issue with them leaking.
