04 Santa Fe Fuel line issues

Asked by Slightvision Dec 22, 2016 at 01:53 PM about the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. Replaced radiator cap as it
held zero pressure. Next day, car reeks of fuel in
cab, has very little acceleration and occasionally
back-fires.

Not sure that your radiator?cap & pressure have anything to do with each other, probably just coincidence. I would check the fuel system purge valve/solenoid and filter. They are under the floorboards, under the front seat area in a big rectangular canister
