2004 Santa Fe Check Engine code P0335

i have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe with check engine Error code p0335
Crankshaft position sensor "A" circuit i have replaced the sensor and attempted
to clear the code with code reader, but the light never goes out even after it
says code cleared.  Engine will not even try to turn over, what am i missing?  
and ideas to try?
