My jeep cherokee turns off when i stop and has trouble starting if i dont press on the gas when i turn it on

in morning when I go to start my truck it wont turn on an less I hit the gas. sometimes it wont do it, I notice the oil meter on the dash moves a lot when the car is going to turn off. the truck will also turn off on me when I stop at a light sometimes. I have a brand new alternator, battery, starter in it. help

Let's try some general maintenance things first check air filter clean throttle body replace fuel filter if have not done so in a while add Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner to gas tank
i have tired that before with the lucas and it works for a little while then starts right back up with the same problem, we did a full oil change about 2 months ago

Ok this is what you need to do since you said the Lucas works for a little while add some more take vehicle out some where you can blow out the carbon like on a back road so you can hit the passing gear a few times. Careful no speeding tickets.
I will give that a try after work. I never really thought of that before.
