99 grand jeep cherokee, my check engine light came on today when I was at a stop light and it start to idle a litter different and it felt like the engine was shaking the car, any suggestions.

Get the codes checked. Might be a vacuum leak causing a bad idle which could cause the engine to run poor. Look for broken vacuum lines. Could be the PCV hose, they are relatively cheap to replace and easy to do.
