where is gearbox on 1995 jeep grand cherokee is a v8

if you're calling the transfer case a "gearbox", I can accept that. If this is the thing from which you speak, and not the transmission of differentials, right behind the transmission, the next stop, where power to the rear and power to the front are equally divided- should have a switching solenoid on the side to go to 2wd or 4wd, if this is one that will switch.

the hesitation is caused by any number of factors including choked air filter, fouled plugs, bad EGR system....read your trouble codes, so we will know which critter is makin with the difficulties.
