96 grand Cherokee 4.0 won't start turn key
nothing no lights  just ding from keys being
in ignition, no power to radio lights door
locks and windows. jiggle the key in
accessory position and the radio clicks in
fast on and off. I can hear fuel pump turn on
sometimes when key is on position. could
this be the ignition,  solenoid, fuse? don't
want to chance this down anymore looking
for some help.

First, make sure your battery is fully charged. Nothing works right without 12 volts and enough amps to run the high capacity things like the starter. Have it scanned for codes too. Check your two fuse blocks for burnt fuses and relays. The best test for relays is to swap them out with a new one. Check grounds and positive feed wires.

Okay. This model of Jeep will self diagnose. Turn the ignition key from Off to On three times quickly, without starting the engine. Stop at "On" and the codes will show at the odometer display. It will say "done" when it's done. If you get any codes, that should help you find the problem.
