My ex keeps say its the torque converter. He's been wrong before plus when he works on a vehicle of mine he always breaks something else. I get him cause i cant afford a real mechanic shop.

My 95 chero started that , is now popping out of 4hi. My vibration was stronger when slowing down from 50 to 30 mph range. Now the transfer case keeps popping out of 4hi about same conditions(mph) I haven't found problem yet. But sound like you are on the same road as I was a few weeks back, I still have vibration too. I had to park my jeep until I find the problem.
